"Rising Waters, Shifting Lives" is a photographic exploration of climate displacement, capturing the experiences of Native Americans from Isle de Jean Charles. The project will culminate in a solo exhibition in June 2026 at the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center in Thibodaux, Louisiana. These individuals are recognized as the first Native American community displaced by climate change, as acknowledged by the federal government. In 2016, due to the fact that 98% of their tribal lands were now under water, the community was awarded a $48 million grant to relocate to higher ground, 40 miles north, in Schriever, Louisiana.
